Rules to attend the State of Idaho vs. Lori Vallow Daybell trial

The State of Idaho versus Lori Vallow Daybell is set for a jury trial starting April 3rd, 2023, at the Ada County Courthouse in Boise.

The public interest has been accounted for in this trial and there are ways you can attend.

The court says that the public seating for the trial will be managed through a reservation system. The seats in the courtroom in Ada County, where the trial will happen, will be on a first come basis using reservations. A remote viewing location within the Ada County Courthouse and within the Madison County Courthouse will also be available to the public and media, also by reservation. There will be no priority or designated seating. Details on how to make reservations are available on the Ada County website.

In the courtroom and even at the remote view locations, no recording devices of any kind are permitted. Cellphones must be turned off or kept on silent, and laptops can be used during the proceedings as long as their cameras and microphones are disabled.
