BOISE, Idaho (CBS2) — The Idaho State Board of Education has approved a name change for the Holt Arena at Idaho State University's Pocatello Campus.
The arena will now be known as the ICCU Dome. The name change is inlight of Idaho Central Credit Union paying $6 million over the next 12 years, and for the facilities remodel.
The dome was originally opened in 1970 and named Minidome. In 1988, the Board approved an ISU request to rename it Holt Arena in honor of former coach Milton W. “Dubby” Holt who was instrumental in getting the facility built.
